“Life continues, and some mornings, weary of the noise, discouraged by the prospect of the interminable work to keep after, sickened also by the madness of the world that leaps at you from the newspaper, finally convinced that I will not be equal to it and that I will disappoint everyone—all I want to do is sit down and wait for evening. This is what I feel like, and sometimes I yield to it.”—
“So avoid using the word ‘very’ because it is lazy. A man is not very tired, he is exhausted. Don’t use very sad, use morose. Language was invented for one reason, boys - to woo women - and, in that endeavor, laziness will not do.”—John Keating, Dead Poet’s Society. (via mister-selfdestruct)

“I was half in love with her by the time we sat down. That’s the thing about girls. Every time they do something pretty, even if they’re not much to look at, or even if they’re sort of stupid, you fall half in love with them, and then you never know where the hell you are. Girls. Jesus Christ. They can drive you crazy. They really can.”—J.D. Salinger (via pelagiques)
Are you liking your major? Or do you think you will change it down the road? I know it might be too early to tell, haha.
it really is too early to tell but as of right now im loving my major. granted im only taking one intro psychology class. but i absolutely adore it. i sit in class and i actually enjoy learning and its just so fascinating and its so relevant to so many things and i know this is something im going to enjoy.
wow ok. i personally think the meaning of life is to be happy. and by being happy i dont mean having a perfect life and smiling all the time. i mean being able to really be ok despite the good and the bad things that happen to you. because if you are truly happy then nothing else matters.
